Broad-minded#
Over the weekend, I went to visit the Chengdu Museum with my girlfriend. If you want to understand a city, the fastest way is to visit a museum. I saw the rap figurines that appeared in textbooks before, and I couldn't help but admire them. Sichuan people have always been optimistic from ancient times to the present.
I couldn't help but think of the broad-minded Su Shi, who was also from Sichuan. Demotion seemed to have become the standard process for ancient literati. Writing detests fate. During his demotion, Su Shi invented Dongpo pork. While others may eat tree bark during their demotion, Su Shi ate pork, and it was incredibly delicious. When encountering wind and rain on a journey, others may flee in embarrassment, but Su Shi wrote, "With a bamboo staff and straw sandals, who fears? A straw raincoat lets me live carefree in the rain." When in a good state of mind, every aspect of life is beautiful.
Lately, I have been considering work-related issues. Sometimes I am conflicted about my current situation, but I might as well learn from Su Shi's broad-mindedness. Perhaps I can continue to learn and improve my technical skills at this stage, and it wouldn't hurt to learn more.
Recent Experiments#
ChatGPT#
Because I am in China, the VPN I purchased does not support ChatGPT very well. So I used a workaround, a project called chat 酱, which uses the API2D proxy solution. The price is slightly higher than using ChatGPT's API directly, but it is more than enough for my low usage requirements.
Stable Diffusion#
I seem to have caught on to this trend a bit late. This project has been open source for a long time, but I haven't tried it yet. It feels more valuable to try these projects myself than just watching others play with them.
NAS#
Recently, I also bought a relatively inexpensive server, only for internal network penetration (damn telecom has two layers of NAT, otherwise I would use DDNS). I penetrated my NAS's Plex, so now I can watch videos anytime, anywhere. I suggest not opening the SSH port. During the time I was away from home, my NAS was subjected to brute-force attacks on the accounts, although they were not successful, it still poses a security risk.
Openwrt#
During my postgraduate studies, I bought a Raspberry Pi 4B, and now it has become the best investment product in terms of price. I flashed the Openwrt system onto the Raspberry Pi and used it as a bypass router. Now all the devices at home can access the internet freely.
