This is not the recently updated MacOS14, I just want to use desktop widgets to fish properly, so I'll take note of it.
Scriptable#
This is a highly customizable widget app, where you can write JS to display the content you want. For someone like me who is not very familiar with JS, I can only look for works from experts.
- 万事屋杂货铺, there is a set of ready-to-use widgets, just click subscribe. Currently, I use the Weibo hot topics on my desktop to stay updated on social trends.
- awesome-scriptable, if you want to find high-quality projects on Github, just add "awesome" in front of the project name. There are some high-quality scriptable projects here, although some of them are no longer being updated. (But they can still be used)
RSS Subscription#
- I spent a day looking for a scriptable that can view RSS subscriptions, but haven't found a suitable one yet. Among them, scriptable-News-Widget cannot automatically refresh, so it doesn't meet my expectations. So I started looking for an RSS reader with desktop widget functionality and found Reeder. Isn't it simple? By setting up RSSHub and finding the information I want, I can subscribe to RSS feeds and everything falls into place. Currently, I have subscribed to some content on TG and placed it on my MAC desktop, so I can fish properly during work time! desktop|500
